There are many opportunities for younger people to volunteer which can be a fun way to meet new people and add to your CV.

Volunteering can easily fit around your school or college time.

MV Awards also let you gain a certificate if you volunteer for 50, 100 or 200 hours.

Project Scotland is a full time volunteering initiative which can fill the gap between school and college or act as a stepping stone to employment.

If you are getting ready to leave school then volunteering can also help give you experience before going to college, university or work. There is a useful guide available written by Enquire, the Scottish Advice Service for Additional Support for Learning, which gives you questions to think about and people to talk to.
